This is the result of a mechanical brushing operation, in which we work with variations in hardness within the natural wood, across the growth rings of the tree. Brushing removes the softest wood from the surface, thus creating linear ribbing throughout the pieces.
Softens the appearance of the wood surface while preparing it for coating.
As wood is a naturally variable material, no pieces will look the same.
Some areas may show variable roughness. This is not a defect; it reflects the natural characteristics of the material.
Surface is slightly less durable for the coating than the textured finish, but provides a more modern look to the taste of some people.
